PLEDDG Project continues with the grant program in the framework of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development Support Fund (SME Fund) in project partner cities, namely:

Vinnytsia region – Zhmerynka, Ladyzhyn, Khmilnyk
Ivano-Frankivsk region – Ivano-Frankivsk, Dolyna, Kolomyia, Yaremche
Zaporizhia region – Berdyansk, Energodar, Melitopol
Poltava region – Poltava, Horishni Plavni, Kremenchuk, Myrhorod

SME Fund goal

The SME Fund is aimed at fostering SME development through creation of relevant infrastructure, development of entrepreneurial skills and capacity building, as well as facilitating the implementation of business support programs in PLEDDG partner cities.

The main goal of the SME Fund is to foster implementation of SME Development Support Programs in 16 partner cities, which were developed based on the PLEDDG methodology and subsequently approved by respective city councils.

SME Fund main objectives

Grant applications must meet one or more of the Fund’s main objectives, such as:

  1. Create a favorable business climate for small and medium-sized businesses;
  2. Support SME infrastructure development;
  3. Develop a three-sector partnership for business development support.

Who can apply?

Non-for-profit enterprises, institutions and organizations, including those created by a city council in PLEDDG partner cities.
Non-for profit educational, cultural and research and development organizations in PLEDDG partner cities.

Funding of the winning projects

PLEDDG Project financial input into each project will range between 20, 000 to 40, 000 CAD (in UAH equivalent). In each city several projects can be supported until all SME funds within the grant program have been used up.
The funding of the winning projects is based on the co-funding scheme and includes:

  • PLEDDG Project input;
  • Applicant’s own input;
  • Input from other sources.

The applicant’s own input shall be no less than 30% of the total project budget and is mandatory.

Duration of the projects – from 3 to 12 months.

The grant program is open and ongoing. Applications are accepted until all funds are exhausted.
