On May 10-11, 2018, Kremenchuk hosted the PLEDDG-sponsored international business forum “International Cooperation: Building the Future Together”. The Forum brought together representatives of Canada, Lithuania, Poland, and other countries involved in establishment and enhancement of cooperation with Ukraine, representatives of Ukrainian state and local authorities, entrepreneurs, and experts.

The Forum was organized in partnership with Kremenchuk City Council, MU “Kremecnhuk Invest”, PLEDDG Project, Poltava Chamber of Commerce, Cherkasy Chamber of Commerce and Vilnius Chamber of Commerce. The aim of the Forum was to create a platform for an exchange of experience, the enhancement of partnership relations, as well as discussion of the best mechanism for attraction of investments to Poltava Region.

Kadie Ward, PLEDDG Senior Governance Advisor, and Valeriy Kokot, PLEDDG Senior Expert in Business Development, represented PLEDDG Project at the Forum. At the first plenary meeting on “Expansion of Export Opportunities of Ukraine through International Cooperation”, Kadie Ward spoke about Canadian export support practices. Later on, Kadie Ward moderated the third section of the Forum “Efficient Investment Attraction Mechanisms. Industrial Parks and Special Economic Areas”, featuring Jacek Piechota, Chairman at the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Mykola Selivon, Chairman of ICAC and MAC at the UCCI of Ukraine, and Serhiy Solomakha, Vice-President of the Association „Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine” and Myrhorod Mayor. The following day Kadie Ward and Valeriy Kokot took part in a forum session on export development.
