On May 22-23, 2018, PLEDDG Project delivered a training session on “City Branding and Marketing for Local Economic Development”. Representatives from PLEDDG partner cities responsible for the development of a marketing strategy, shaping and promotion of their cities’ brands, took part in it. PLEDDG Project welcomed both Canadian and Ukrainian experts and practitioners, with extensive experience in marketing and branding, to conduct the training.

The objective of the training was to share knowledge and experience in branding and marketing of cities. In the process of training, practical aspects of municipal branding and marketing were highlighted and a methodology for development and implementation of marketing strategies was presented.

Craig Nichols, Executive Director at Tourism Abbotsford Society, who came to Ukraine at the invitation of PLEDDG Project, shared Canadian experience of territorial branding and marketing.

After closing of the session, the participants were presented with training certificates.
