The Academy is expected to begin operating on the basis of the Vinnytsia technological park by the end of this year. Its launch was initiated by Vinnytsia City Council together with Vinnytsia Business Club with the financial support of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), which is implementing “Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance” Project (PLEDDG) in Ukraine.

The Business Support and Development Academy will provide services to small and medium-sized businesses and will support Vinnytsia companies in adopting international best business practices.

Local businesses will be able to receive package services in spheres such as IT, marketing, law, and accounting. In other words, each Vinnytsia’s entrepreneur will receive all necessary services in regard to both starting up a business and supporting existing business operations. All services will be provided in one building in a comfortable and timely manner.

Such service will shorten the period of business projects implementation and will allow entrepreneurs to effectively implement their business development agenda.

It is expected that access to financial instruments will be improved, the market of business services will be strengthened, entrepreneurs’ competences will be enhanced, which, in turn, will allow for increasing business capacity and simplifying business operations in Vinnytsia within a short period of time.

“The launch of this project is extremely important for the development of small and middle-sized businesses in the city. Vinnytsia City Council supports such projects, because investments in entrepreneurship development lead to economic growth. Currently, there are over 200 active large and medium-sized enterprises and over 40 000 registered individual entrepreneurs in the city. The Academy will provide advisory support to the working entrepreneurs and to those that are just planning to register their business activity”, – said Vitaliy Pogosyan, Director of the Economic and Investment Department of Vinnytsia City Council.

The Business Support and Development Academy project is aimed at the implementation of the city’s development strategy “Vinnytsia 2020” and, in particular, its strategic priority which reads: “Economic development with the aim to ensure a high level of quality employment”. It is also in line with the Program for Increasing Small and Medium-Sized Business Competitiveness in Vinnytsia for 2017-2020.
