PLEDDG’s experts have been participating in development of important strategic documents, various municipal projects, and organized trainings for the city council employees. “We know that a great job has been done for the years of cooperation with PLEDDG Project. It is a pleasure that due to methodological support and experts’ advice we managed to develop a set of important documents such as: Marketing Strategy, Investment Attraction Program, and Program for Enhancement of Competitive Advantage of Small and Medium Business. Under the tough competition conditions, cities should think over how to attract investments, create workplaces, and how to promote activity and development of small and medium sized businesses, as such businesses exactly are the basis for territorial community development. Due to the cooperation, we managed to create effective “communication platforms”, aimed at efficient interaction with entrepreneurs and potential investors. These are the Internet resources developed: City4Business; Investment Portal. Moreover, in partnership with 2 state banks, we managed to implement the mechanism of financial support for entrepreneurs”, – Serhii Morhunov says.

Another important project, according to Serhii Morhunov, is “Open Regulatory Platform”. This is the first and the only platform in Ukraine, where representatives of central and local public bodies, scientists, and entrepreneurs are building favorable regulatory environment for business activity. This project was made possible with UNDP’s support.

PLEDDG Director Oleksandr Kucherenko noted that they cooperated with 16 Ukrainian cities. But Vinnytsia was a leader in implementing various projects.

“Vinnytsia is a place, where we can set the most difficult tasks and test the latest practices, instruments and models of economic development”. This is possible due to the team working here, and we join and assist them. We are planning to develop a range of strategic documents for this year as well, – PLEDDG Director Oleksandr Kucherenko says.

Currently, the Department for Economy and Investment of Vinnytsia City Council continues active cooperation with PLEDDG Project.
