Today, in Khmilnyk, a working meeting, where the issues of the community’s joining the European Charter for Equality of Women and Men in Local Life were discussed, was held in Khmilnyk. Mayor Serhii Redchyk, experts from “PRAVO” NGO Olena Chernii and Vitalii Dorokh, and PLEDDG Gender Equality Consultant Svitlana Khodakova took part in the meeting.
During the session, the mechanisms of communities’ joining the Charter were discussed, the preliminary steps to be made for this by Khmilnyk were outlined, the development of the action plan for implementing the Charter’s elements in the community was discussed, as well as a common vision of each party’s participation in this process was elaborated.
At the final stage of the meeting, the participants agreed to keep communicating for preparing all the documents required for the Khmilnyk community’s joining the European Charter for Equality of Women and Men in Local Life.
