As part of the international technical assistance project “Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance” (PLEDDG), a “Center for Tourism Development of the Dolyna Region” was created on the premises of the Dolyna Regional Museum of Boykivschyna of Tetyana & Omelan Antonovych. This was reported by the Department of International Cooperation, European Integration, Tourism, and Investment of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.

The Center was established to develop the infrastructure of small and medium-sized businesses in the field of tourism services, as well as to increase the competence and awareness of stakeholders in the Dolyna subregion.

From now on, guests of the Dolyna Region can visit a demonstration and tasting room as well as a souvenir shop, where everyone can both see the exhibits and have a taste of the local eco-production of berries, honey, and cheese. The Center also has a space for low-mobility groups.

As part of the project, training was conducted to improve the quality of tourist services in order to increase knowledge in the fields of marketing, branding, features of interpersonal and online communication, creating offers for different categories of tourists, guide courses, three-month English courses.

The project was funded by the Government of Canada through the Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance (PLEDDG). PLEDDG is implemented by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) with financial support from Global Affairs Canada.
