On March 10, 2016, a focus group was conducted in the office of Regional Development Department of Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration, with the support of the international technical assistance project «Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance» (PLEDDG Project). The situation with the investment activities in Vinnytsia Oblast was studied in the focus group. Vasyl Feduk, EC Project Regional Development Expert, moderated the discussion. The event was divided in two parts.
In the first part participated the representatives of the sectoral departments of the Oblast State Administration: Volodymyr Repei – acting director of the Regional Economic Development Department of the Oblast State Administration, Kateryna Makarenko – Chief Specialist, Regional Development Analysis and Forecasting Department of the Oblast State Administration, Valentyna Kyryluk – First Deputy Director of the Agriculture Development Department of the Oblast State Administration, Ivan Vityuk – Head of Energy and Infrastructure Department of the Oblast State Administration and Olena Lipach – Head of the International Cooperation and European Integration Department of the Oblast State Administration.
The second part was conducted for representatives of the executive authorities, business and community leaders: Andriy Tomash – Chief Specialist of the Real Sector of Economy and Investment Policies Section of the Regional Economic Development Department of the Oblast State Administration, Olga Oliynyk – Head of the Department of Production and Services Data Analysis, Main Statistics Department in Vinnytsia Oblast, Yuriy Zakharchuk – Head of the Public Council in the Main Department of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia Oblast, Yevgeniy Zilbert – All-Ukrainian Non-Governmental Organization “Control for Justice”, Andriy Kavunets – Director of Regional Resource and Information Center “Vinnytsia Region Communities”, Konstantyn Grischenko – independent expert, Oleg Levchenko – Executive Director, Non-Governmental Organization “Podillya Regional Development Agency” and Aleksandr Pechalin – Head of the Regional Council of Entrepreneurs under the Oblast State Administration.
The assessment of the factors, impacting investment and business environment, identification of the barriers and impediments to investments attraction were discussed. Also the examples of successful investment projects were provided.
PLEDDG experts will analyze data, received in the focus group, and practical advice will be provided on the basis of this analysis. Implementation of these recommendations will facilitate improvement of the investment environment and increase of level of investments in economic development of Vinnytsia oblast.
