The first meeting of the Zaporizhia Strategy Development Coordination Council, created within PLEDDG Project, was held in Kyiv on May 25, 2016. The Coordination Council is comprised of representatives of local business, community and local authorities.
The PLEDDG Project was represented by Ihor Lepyoshkin, PLEDDG Senior Expert in Local Governance and Economic Development, as well as Volodymyr Proskurin and Larysa Olenkovska, PLEDDG Consultants. They informed the participants about the spheres of cooperation between PLEDDG and Zaporizhia and described methodology and specifics of the city development strategic planning.
The formation of the Coordination Council is not completed yet. Due to increased interest in the strategy development process, some more representatives of local authorities and business community will join the Council. Zaporizhia Development Strategy is expected to be the outcome of the Coordinating Council activity.
