On October 26-27, 2017, in Kyiv, a training course in local economic development organized by PLEDDG Project in cooperation with the NGO “Mayors Club” was held.
The training took place in the Crystal Conference Business Center. The city of Sumy was represented by Larysa Skyrtach, Deputy Director of the Department, Head of the Economics, Investment and Social Protection Programs Funding Division of the Finance, Economics and Investment Department of Sumy City Council.
In line with suggestions from the participants of the previous training sessions, the training program was substantially improved. The lectures were focused on three main topics: city marketing, branding and investments.
It was a two-day training session. The duration of the training was 12 hours, during which the following issues were addressed:
- Basics of local economic development;
- Democratic governance;
- Territorial marketing and branding;
- Investments as LED tool;
- Foreign investments;
- Investment opportunities promotion.
