1548510855_dsc_7650In the course of a public discussion, a presentation of an analytical study “Zhytomyr’s Gender Face: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” took place. The research was carried out by the regional youth NGO “Parity” with support of the Association of Ukrainian Cities.

Before the presentation started, Natalia Tarasenko, NGO’s Head, said:

“I express appreciation to everyone who has attended our event. The presentation of this analytical study is our project’s key event. However, everything presented and discussed today will become a follow-up to implementation of gender-oriented approaches in a comprehensive way.

The research was being carried out in cooperation with the General Statistics Department in Zhytomyr Region.

The participants in the public discussion “Presentation of Analytical Study “Zhytomyr’s Gender Face: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” were women representing NGOs, local government and the General Statistics Department in Zhytomyr Region.

According to Svitlana Zhavoronkova, PLEDDG gender equality consultant, the study was very significant for self-governance bodies because it made their activity concentrated on solution of specific problems of people of various age, sex, and social categories.

The event took place on January 24th at Art Cent Gnatyuk in Zhytomyr.

The analytical study “Zhytomyr’s Gender Face: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” was prepared on the basis of the state statistical and administrative data reporting for 2013-2017.

Implementation of the project was made possible with financial support of Global Affairs Canada that supported the joint activity of the Association of Ukrainian Cities and PLEDDG Project, which is implemented in Ukraine by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
