The official informed that this selection would be done in close cooperation with PLEDDG Project (Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance) experts and called the members of the working subgroups to thoroughly select the right projects that would determine the development of the territories for years ahead, and would not become a burden for oblast budget.

“The members of the working subgroups should get well prepared to defend the selected projects, as the choice should be well-grounded”, – stressed First Deputy Head of the Oblast State Administration.

In her turn Ella Slepyan reminded the members of the working group about the criteria by which the projects should be selected and with which they should comply.

Also the members of the working group took advice from Mr. Vasyl Kashevskyi, consultant of the international technical assistance project “Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance” and the consultant of the working group, who participated in the meeting on-line through Skype conference.  In particular, he advised to give the priority to the projects which would impact big territories, and not a separate village or city.

Based on the results of the event it was decided to conduct first meeting of the departmental working groups where their operating procedures will be set; the schedule of work finalized; received project ideas presented to the members of the group; preliminary selection of the project ideas based on their compliance with the selection criteria conducted.
