During October 22-23, the 3rd City Development Institutions Forum took place in Kryvyi Rih under support of PLEDDG Project. It was dedicated to the subject of small and medium business support and development. The two-day event took place with participation of about 100 representatives of institutions of Ukraine local development, production plants and projects of international technical support. PLEDDG Project was represented by experts Oleg Voitovych, Igor Lepyoshkin, Valeriy Kokot, and Kadie Ward. Canadian best practices were presented by Randy Richards, specifically invited Canadian expert and head of the Unit for Business Attraction of the Department of Economic Development and Tourism of Stathcona County, Alberta province.

The forum was a platform for active dialogue. It provided an opportunity to share information on implementing business-projects, exchanging practical advice and recommendations on SME development in Ukraine. Topics which were discussed by the participants included domestic tourism, social entrepreneurship, prospects of attracting internally displaced persons to small and medium business.

An excursion around industrial objects of Kryvyi Rih was also arranged for the Forum participants during which they familiarized themselves with the powerful industrial potential of the city.
