Today, on July 5, 2018, at 11 a.m., the Zmerynka City Council hosted the Working Group’s first meeting on a city development strategy, which was opened by Ihor Lepyoshkin, PLEDDG Senior Expert and Head of Experts Group, and Olha Borovska, Deputy Mayor on Humanitarian Affairs.
The meeting welcomed Volodymyr Tverdokhlib, Deputy Mayor, city administration representatives, and deputy corps representatives, top management of enterprises, institutions, and organizations of the city, the community, and media.
Anatoliy Konoval, Head of Department for Economy, reported on implementation of the current Strategy of Zhmerynka development 2020. Oleksandr Voloshynskyi and Petro Mavko, consultants of the “Partnership for Local Economic Development” Project (PLEDDG), drew the participants’ attention to the specific features of the strategy development at its current stage, methodology, and the process of development of the Strategy for the town development.
During the meeting, there were discussed peculiarities of the current stage development of the strategies, in particular, a single system of strategic documents for the territories of all levels; implementation plans: project-based approach; SFRD: principles and regulations. Further steps on development were coordinated, with a general overview of the strategic planning schedule made.
