In the shopping and entertainment center “Megamall” there is a spot where baristas with disabilities make coffee and tea.
Public organization “Harmony” has been preparing for the opening of a mini-cafe for about half a year. They have made furniture, ordered equipment and trained baristas.
“We practiced at Rehabilitation Center for Disabled People “Harmony”. We we took master classes, and were practicing making latte and cappuccino for all customers and employees. I’m taking the shift today. My working day is from 15 to 22. We work in three shifts starting from 10 o’clock in the morning. I like this job, I love the aroma of coffee and communication with people,” says charismatic latte man Yuri Gorbach.
Young people were provided with jobs within the “Social Engagement of People with Disabilities through Entrepreneurship in Vinnytsia” project.
All necessary equipment for making coffee was purchased within a PLEDDG grant. It is funded by the government of Canada through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
