The city of Ivano-Frankivsk is hosting training on “Application of Investment Instruments in Communities”, which was organized by the Department for International Cooperation, European integration, Tourism and Investments of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration jointly with Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance Project (PLEDDG), which is implemented by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and funded by Global Affairs Canada.

Enerhodar brand was approved by the City Council in December last year. Over the course of a year, the city services have been working on its development with the involvement of PLEDDG specialists and residents of the city.

On March 27, chaired by Mayor Pavlo Muzyka, the Executive Committee of City Council held a session of Advisory Committee on Effective Governance and Development created for implementation of the international technical assistance project “Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance” (PLEDDG) in Energodar.

In the shopping and entertainment center "Megamall" there is a spot where baristas with disabilities make coffee and tea. Public organization "Harmony" has been preparing for the opening of a mini-cafe for about half a year. All necessary equipment for making coffee was purchased within a PLEDDG grant.

Not a stranger in this area, the well-known Ukrainian organization found a like-minded partner and received financial support from the international technical assistance project “Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance” (PLEDDG).

On March 26, the Executive Committee of Melitopol City Council hosted an extended session of Advisory Committee on Effective Governance and Development, created for implementation of PLEDDG Project in Melitopol, “Planning of Sustainability of Results of Implementation of PLEDDG Project”, which agenda was a range of PLEDDG Project’s initiatives with greatest impact on community as well as the areas of joint activity on preparation of the Action Plan for support of primary initiatives/projects after completion PLEDDG Project activity.

These issues and the further cooperation prospects were put on the agenda of today’s extended session of Advisory Committee on Effective Governance and Development created for implementation of PLEDDG Project in Berdyansk. At the session, the Project was represented by Ihor Lepyoshkin, Senior Expert, Head of Experts Group, Volodymyr Proskurnin, PLEDDG Consultant, and Svitlana Krugliak, PLEDDG Regional Coordinator in Zaporizhia.

On March 22, 2019, Kyiv hosted a conference of SE PROZORRO.SALE partners “Transparent Mechanisms of Community Development”. Among its attendees were representatives of various NGOs, analytical centers and local authorities from all over Ukraine. The participants learned about the capacities of ProZorro.Sale system for local communities: businesses, activists and reformers in public bodies.

On March 20, 2019, the Executive Committee of Zmerynka City Council hosted a session on strategic environmental assessment of the Zhmerynka Draft Development Strategy, which was developed with support from PLEDDG Project. Anatolii Konoval, Head of Economic Department, made an overview of the drafting process, and Hennadii Marushevskyi, PLEDDG Project Consultant, spoke about strategic environmental assessment and methodology for its application in Zhmerynka.
