NGO-hub in Vinnytsia is the platform for active dialogue between representatives of local government, business and non-governmental organizations aimed at coordinated handling of local issues, and also the place for generation, support and implementation of social innovations.

On April 24 2018, Oleksandr Ignatenko, PLEDDG Senior Expert in Inter-governmental Cooperation and Economic Development, took part in the meeting of the Steering Committee of the Small Grants Program of Global Environment Facility in Ukraine, held during a retreat in the “Holosiivskyi” National Nature Park.

On Thursday, April 19, 2018, the 4th Steering Committee meeting of PLEDDG Project took place in Kyiv. At the meeting, PLEDDG experts presented key deliverables of Year 3 of PLEDDG Project activity as well as Project plans for 2018-2019.

On March 22-23, 2018 the city of Lviv in Western Ukraine hosted the PLEDDG-sponsored VI All-Ukrainian Local Self-Governance Forum. The Forum was organized by the City Institute of Lviv, Lviv City Council, and NGO "Institute of Education”.

As part of PLEDDG Project, Vinnytsia has recently hosted a training session on city economic development for officials of the Economy and Investment Department of Vinnytsia City Council and representatives of local utility companies. The first part of the session, held on March 16-17, 2018, was arranged by the PLEDDG team at the premises of a new Civil Society Institute Support Center, or Hub, – a futuristically styled creative area.

Representatives from PLEDDG partner cities went on a social entrepreneurship study tour to northern Poland. Accompanied by PLEDDG experts, they visited a number of Polish cities such as Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia, Kościerzyna, and Kartuzy in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

On March 14, 2018, PLEDDG Project jointly with Ukraine Investment Promotion Office “UkraineInvest” held the V All-Ukrainian City Development Institutions Forum (CDIForum2018), which was dedicated to investment activity and city development institutions.

On February 27-28, 2018, in Kyiv PLEDDG Project provided training on “Campaigns for Municipal Branding and Marketing” for partner cities to share knowledge and experience in city branding and marketing.

From February 18 to February 24, 2018, in partnership with the Polish Solidarity Fund and with the support of the Government of Canada, PLEDDG Project led a study tour to Poland for representatives of local governments, business associations and small and medium-sized businesses from partner cities. The purpose of the study tour was to get familiar with the realities of Polish reforms and best practices in social entrepreneurship and women’s business.
